I thought she grew up lower middle class her whole life but she was actually kinda wealthy/well off. That small apartment comment threw me off for so long. It was only like 2 years ago I discovered the truth and have been a fan since 2011 😭😭

Well she always downplayed how privileged she was, financially speaking.  I mean, girl you went to the same high school as Paris Hilton.

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

I thought Frankenstein was going to be released November 2017 and streamed from the Joanne World Tour to the AMAs:bradley:

instead, we got a prerecorded performance of The Cure

Had DWUW remained solo and given a proper single treatment it could've been as big as Applause

When I was in high shcool there was a fan made music video of Bloody Mary and it took me years to find out it wasn’t actually Gaga :air:

I was fully convinced Gaga was gonna release an EP after Chromatica titled "Monochromatica" and it would be B-sides lmao. Who was I kidding? :ladyhaha:

I don't know if its a delusion (because I feel like it really could happen) but I have this whole idea in my head of Gaga doing a 1920's speakeasy themed Jazz show in Vegas. She'd be in her flapper garb and the stage would be set to look like the inside of a speakeasy. I have the basics of a setlist outlined and everything. Bobby, HIT ME UP SO WE CAN ARRANGE THIS :grr:

doraemon

- Lady Gaga: Live in Indonesia (an 'apology accepted' concert for the government and people of Indonesia [as Islam Defenders Front, the group that tried to kill Gaga, is now an illegal group]) is real

- ARTPOP Act 2 is real

- A Lady Gaga-Taylor Swift collaboration

- Revival of "Lady Gaga: Enigma" concert residency from last year

- Anime movie (either Doraemon or Kiteretsu) starring Gaga

- A Lady Gaga-Bjork collaboration

- Sequel to Telephone

Yaaaas Gaga

I believed that Gaga would remain the biggest superstar in music for 10-15 years. She has still stayed very relevant over the years, but there was always going to be a time limit on her initial success due to the insane superstardom she achieved and her over saturation at the time.

-Before the Joanne era I talked about how her making a 90s house album with EDM and disco influences would have slayed, but that it would never ever ever happen. I also mentioned her most likely not experimenting with Hyperpop.

-I remember thinking that she was going to release ACT II sometime in 2013/2014 because a Twitter “insider” teased it. I even bought an iTunes for card it.

I thought that the G.U.Y. MV was going to be viral, that the GP was going to love it ... only for Gaga not to promote it as a "true single" - simply a video "for the fans." :alsemanche:

Following Rain On Me's tremendous success, I was convinced 911 was going to follow suit and take over radio stations everywhere ... only for Gaga not to promote it as a "true single" - simply a video "for the fans." :alsemanche:

In both of these instances, I have a vivid memory of bragging to a friend or relative about her "upcoming smash hit" ... Still haunts me at night when I'm trying to sleep. :saladga: (I did not give a damn about John Wayne's potential success thankfully, so I did not make a fool of myself on that one.)

Time. It will not wait, no matter how hard you hold on...

Melodean

I remember thinking Gaga will never make one bad song in the BTW era and then she released ARTPOP :traumatica:

I'd say the DWUW video in 2013.
Now I'm glad it never came out because that would have been really bad for her career, but at the time I was psychologically f**** up and the hope of that clip (and the whole ARTPOP era) was the only thing that made me smile.
Then there was the double cancellation of her concert in Paris for the Joanne World Tour, but that wasn't her fault, health came first.
And finally, I'd say the lack of desire to resume the chromatica era after covid. I know that morally and financially it must have been complicated to see a entire era cancelled because of covid, but I regret that apart from a music video and the tour, nothing was done, unlike Dua Lipa for example.
