I agree. I live outside the space time continuum.

The only sad thing is that human being accelerated all those issues which was supposed to happen soon or later as it is part of life cycles, that’s what I meant. But other than that you’re right and I completely agree with you.

faysalaaa 5,380
I think there will be a slow shift of powers around the world, and the West will have competition, but I dont think it will fall, its just not gonna be the only power. But I dont think WW3 will happen, maybe some civil unrest and economic collapse in western countries, which will give power to other countries over the western world. Eventually, global warming is gonna start effecting parts of the world, which will result in mass immigration, class divide, and limited resources. Maybe then WW3 could happen? U.S vs China is more likely. U.S position isn't looking very solid right now as the country is distracted by many conflitcs happening around the globe, Russia, Iran, Houthis etc.. and that's what could prompt China to seize the opportunity and invade Taiwan. Considering Taiwan produces 90%+ of the world's advanced semi-conductors, if U.S does not take action, it means the collapse of the U.S economy, which makes American involvement more likely. In the last Biden-Xi meeting, Xi reportedly told Biden in explicit terms that China will reunify with Taiwan militarily. I think Taiwan will present the most likely scenario between global powers. However, if Russia gets aggressive with NATO powers, it presents a situation where a nuclear exchange is more likely. And how soon before Iran can build nuclear weapons to counter Israel? Also, threats to the Suez canal would disrupt world trade. How will Saudi Arabia and Turkey respond with further IDF operation in Gaza? How would Iran respond if Hezbollah or Houthis are attacked? There are too many complications in the world to give a proper analysis. Stand in the light, cast your shadow.

And I don't think it'll happen overnight. If Israel retaliates against Hezbollah more aggressively, Iran could get involved, and then U.S would definitely get involved. U.S already started being involved against Houthis. These overarching involvements for the U.S (Ukraine, Iran, Yemen) could provide an opportunity for China to strike. PartySick 174,123
Nah. As others have said, super powers are more about proxy wars and economic pissing matches than outright combat. I don't think the US and China will ever come to direct blows. The closest we'll get is Taiwan using American weapons to defend themselves against a Chinese invasion. Ukraine and Russia are at a stalemate and I feel the end of that conflict won't happen with bullets and bombs but a concession from one side and a shifting of Ukraine's borders. The Israel one has been happening for decades, though it's interesting to see that their international support is deeply eroding. The US is basically their only unconditional ally now and even our president is pushing against their efforts to destroy Gaza and colonize it. Biden is sending Netanyahu literal warnings The Israel/Hamas conflict is similar to the US/Al Qaeda/ISIS conflict though. The harder the US fought, the larger the presence, the stronger those forces became 'cause you can't fight an idea with bullets. If Israel truly wanted to put an end to Hamas, they'd extend an olive branch to the Palestinian people instead of dropping bombs on their heads or murdering them in cold blood. But anyway, again, nah. I don't see another world war happening, personally. Whimsical bitch
Future Lovers 7,789
No. The way the world, especially warfare, works today I doubt there will ever be another one let alone within 5 years.

androiduser 7,438
No, because the richest countries won't risk losing money from the collapse of trade market. Can you imagine the losses China would suffer? Wars will be localized and restricted to areas that have been unstable fro decades, and the powerful countries will be meddling, as always, to maximize their political and financial profits. gagzus 24,715
The UN is there specifically to counteract another war after WW2, the only way a world war would happen is if a superpower were to slowly seize power and gather enough resources to directly attack another superpower. (For example if Russia dropped bombs on the US tomorrow or vice versa, whilst sending an airborne and waterborne army over, with the intention to seize the presidency and make them a state under the control of the other power, which immediately the UN would react to.) I think LUCKILY in 2023 people have moved beyond their whole nationalistic views and realised there’s no glory in defending your own country, because our own governments don’t help us anyway, people would simply refuse to go to war in 2023. You can’t send a mass army and gather recruits if your people refuse tbh
