That US map is apparently a rare gem because no other country has made anything similar. Late January sounds about right for coldest day I googled the coldest day of all time in Toronto and it was in 1859 when it hit -33C So 5 degrees colder than the coldest i ever seen since i moved here in 2002 On a typical winter, the coldest deep freeze will get you a day or two of -22C around 5am or 6am.
