I think a lot of older queens don’t want to audition anymore because the show has become worse in quality.

This. They also talked about it on race chaser earlier today. Regardless of what Israel is now doing in Gaza, the „war theme“ seems pretty tasteless anyway… 

then again, the theme for Germanys Dragrace was „broken glass“, so it’s not like the creative Departement is the most sensitive I guess

I just finished Drag Race Germany, my first international foreign language and those queens gagged me. And I guess it's because the pool of talent is so diverse still.

Tbh I have felt this way for a while about US drag race. I've taken a break from international Drag Race for a few years because tbh it's become so oversaturated and hard to keep track of. But España season 2 has some of the best drag I've ever seen. 

International drag is so much more boundary-pushing, impressive and original.

Too many of these queens look too polished and "instagrammified". I miss the rawness and diversity of the earlier seasons, but I'm still going to tune in.
