They should of just kept ‘Tonight I’m Lovin You‘ The song Gaga did - stuck on ****in you, would that be considered that? 10 hours ago, Admin said: Why is noone talking about the fact that the song is literally about rape? I dont know. The song sounds more like a persistent guy with high self confience and that he is pretty sure/optimistic hes getting layed with her. Not necessairily that hes gonna try to make or force her to do it Sounds like toxic masculinity & objectification which is already problematic but i wouldnt go as far as calling it rape I feel theres a gender bias here too. If a female artist made a song with these lyrics youd all be calling it sexual seduction from an empowered woman not rape. Like i can almost see a song with very simmilar lyrics in Britney Spears femme fatale EDIT: I will add there are scenarios with the right nuances leading up to it that could make this too pushy and heading in a direction that comes across rapy. But its just a song, so we dont have that kind of background detail like we would in a real life situation. So it also depends how ur imagining the exchange of words between ppl in a song like this and how it led up to it. But u do kind of have to make some assumptions in order to draw to that conclusion Edited December 3, 2023 by Economy

Kinda how like a handful on songs on BTW and ARTPOP were already-made instrumentals and Gaga wrote the lyrics used That makes more sense. The instrumental does have a little bit of Judas/The Fame DNA in there but RedOne used a lot of that during that time with JLo, Pitbull, Enrique, Porcelain Black, Nicole Scherzinger, Nicki, etc. As for the lyrics.. yeah I think they'd have been written from scratch.

As long as we assume the lyrics are from a “reliable narrator” perspective the very first line is “I know you want me i made it obvious that I want you too” which sounds mutual and not rapey lol but on topic this songs kinda lame so im sure gaga wouldve made it better though Edited December 3, 2023 by holy scheisse

It’s the exact same lyric that “Blurred Lines" got cancelled for Ok hb we say it maybe going borderline? Like in real life this could go either way depending on the nuances of the tone of voice, level of obvious interest she shows (or doesnt show) in sexual activity, the dynamics of the night and relationship etc This COULD be rapy depending pn other nuances as part of the overall picture leading up to that Going purely off a song of a hypothetical scenario tho, i wouldnt jump to that conclusion. Sounds more like coming on strong to me or just having too much confidence/ego I think this is borderline/grey depending how u interpret it. I wouldnt quite call it rape yet

Seems on a simmilar level. I think also depends on the context too. Is the other guy also into her and displaying sexual interest or is this a pure 1 way street of her throwing herself without any consent from her guy (or girl i guess it doesnt specify)? Nuances matter in these cases and a song of a hypothetical scenario isnt gonna have all these details written into them that in real life matter a lot But then again i couldnt catch every single lyric. She sang too fast in a few parts. Im going off what i could make out Edited December 3, 2023 by Economy

StrawberryBlond 14,015
This genuinely surprises me. The beat sounds very Gaga circa 2008 but I can't get over how the lyrics sound so clearly written with a male singer in mind. A lot of songs are made for someone specific in mind and it amazes me that this was offered to anyone other than Enrique, it has his style at the time written all over it and was clearly made to capitalise on the dance music craze at the time. I couldn't see Gaga making anything like this now and as I really don't think this song has aged well, I'm really glad she never did it. This has to be one of the weirdest, most random pieces of Gaga trivia to date.
