Just heard Dove Cameron's new project and I'd sooo love it if LG7's something in this lane

The first song sounds like a rip off of something from When We All Fall Asleep… the other one is interesting. But honestly if Gaga was going a more “dark” pop path she should do something more sonically interesting. These are like a step below BTW, when she should be aiming for same level or higher.

I don't know if there's a specific 'sound' I'd like Gaga to try on, I just hope she moves away from four-to-the-floor a little bit on the next album. I'd like to be surprised. And I'd like to hear her come up with instrumentals that are dense and amorphous and shape-shifting like some of her stuff from TFM through ARTPOP was.

I think after being burned by the reception to ARTPOP, Gaga went for a philosophy of simplicity in her sound, and while I love Joanne and like Chromatica well enough, I miss the density of ideas she packed into her songs during her imperial phase.

I want a theremin somewhere in there.

Chamber, baroque pop, classical instruments, infused with classic Gaga twist. I want Chromaticas opposite, dark visuals and sound with an uplifting message.

If the sound was a visual, the Dom Perignon WoodKid directed video would be it.

I don’t think anything can top Chromatica for me but I also hope she tries something new and different. I will keep an open mind.

Part of me says a synthwave/retrowave, Tame Impalaesque sound.

But I also wish it could be like these songsTake Me to Church by Hozier, Skyfall by Adele, Love is Blind by Alicia Keys.

Same, Chromatica is a masterpiece. I just hope she will work with BloodPop again.

For me personally, I feel like pop music as a whole could really do with a shake up. The genre has stagnated in the same way it did in the mid 00s. Taylor and Beyoncé are both having huge success but neither one of them have pushed boundaries sonically, if anything their current output is the result of perfecting the last 10 years of emerging genres. Gaga is our only hope rn for someone to come along to really try to change things, so that’s what I hope she’s trying to achieve with LG7.

Not the bore worms!

Anything like these songs could be a good direction if she wanted to go more experimental, that’s if we’re asking for a ray of light type of era without copying
