This is the most excited I've been for a non-music Gaga project! Even more than ASIB!!!

Not to be negative but I hope the superhero fandom warm up more to the idea of her in the role, because she deserves it so much

I think a lot of them are still skeptical about the movie tbh. For them, the film is fighting an uphill battle (i.e., Why does the movie need a sequel in the first place? Why cast a pop singer? Why make it a musical? etc., etc.). Personally, I couldn't be more excited for the film, but I think a lot of the comic book fandom is hesitant about it. But I think once we get a more concrete look at the movie, like a teaser trailer or something, people will turn around to it.

It often is, but I think when it comes to a role that’s probably intended to be as over-the-top as I imagine Harley is in the new Joker film, I think it’s intended as a compliment.

Meanwhile, the comic book fandom will gladly slop up 7000 needless sequels and remakes of the same story. Hm. Curious.
