Hello everyone!

I'm being a member of this forum for a long time, constantly checking it (daily) but I barley comment or post here because I'm not that involved in the little monsters community, for personal reasons.

But going straight to the point, how do you view Gaga as an artist after all this time?

Lately I've realised Gaga is 37 years old, I've been a fan since she was 21 years old, I'm aware that she's constantly changed and evolved, kept her concept as Lady Gaga "when you think you know what Lady Gaga is, I want you to know that you don't" and I'm kindly shocked that veteran monsters still don't understand her overall concept.

How do I view Lady Gaga?

A teenager that had a very big dream that she accomplished, had a very powerful drive when she was young but now, when she is a grown ass woman and demonstrated herself what she can do , she's exploring a lot of other ways to exist as a star. She's into movies, she's exploring a lot of music genres and I think she's going to change things as long as she's alive.  She's a human being.

I've stopped creating expectations a long time ago and right now I'm a follower and I'm looking forward seeing what's she'll do next with love and appreciation for her personal life and public life.

I hope she is being well and she's enjoying everything she sacrificed in her 20s'. And that she is a  happy human being and keep continue creating incredible stuff as she did in the last years.

I view her as someone who can take charge. Someone who knows when to take the leap and watch it all pay off im the end. She isn't afraid to try new things and push boundries like other mainstream musicians. She had a long term goal and accomplished it.

I love your opinion and I totally agree!

I think she’s someone sees art as many different things such as music, film, fashion etc. she isn’t viewed as only just one type of artist as she used to be, a lot of people thought her only talent was to be shocking and I think what surprised people is that she was an incredible singer and actress and it took her to strip herself of everything she became known for to show that.

I look forward to seeing what she has in store for us next, in the past 15 years she has done pop, dance, electronica, ballads, piano, jazz, rock, country, edm and many other genres! Imagine how it would’ve been if she would’ve just stayed the same. That’s what all artist should do, grow, change and evolve ! Look at her idols like Madonna and David Bowie, a lot of people accused them of being safe or appealing to a demographic they wanted to never be apart of but in reality they were showing they could conquer every area and still keep that certain magic that made them stand out in the first place.

A lot of people as well as “fans” on here always say “there will never be another TFM” or songs like BR, but I don’t think there should be. Up and onwards she should go.

She's a lot of things of course, but what popped up in my head right now is that she has the status of being still cool and trendy AND a household name at the same time. Not a lot of artists are doing this like her!

I view her now as a top-shelf artist. What do I mean by that ? I mean that I think she has reached the point where she doesn't have to prove herself any more. She is now a senior player and has become entertainment royalty. I am really interested to see what direction she goes in. Personally I think she has a great chance of an acting Oscar. I don't mean with Joker necessarily (nobody's even seen it yet), but in general terms she has shown me enough promise as an actress to make me believe that when the right role comes along she will nail it.

Gaga is the epitome of hard work. And this hard work, is not all the time seen or loved by the public...and that is fine with her. She is larger than life, she understands better now this balance and chaos of everything. But despite everything she has been through, she keeps learning and sharing. Radical acceptance

Her artistry, it touches u in a way. I see her as an artist who is consistently widening her reach (visibly or not), so that she is heard and seen. She is not anymore an artist of fame, but an artist of impact.

Saw this in Youtube comment:

"She could be as big as Taylor, but chooses to do things her way...eclectic work over the billions she could have made..."

To me, she is a genius. The most well rounded artist this world has ever seen. The GOAT. She’s not the best at any one thing, but her music touches me deeper than anyone else’s.

First of all thank you, this kind of post is really what this site needs amidst all the delusion and toxicity. Then, I must say that I second every word. I've grown up listening to Gaga since Poker Face, and I totally embrace her way of changing into a more mature and sophisticated artist. For me, she's in the league of David Bowie in terms of talent, versatility and approach to art overall. She deserves everything minus her fans, but this is a personal matter that I won't discuss any further.

King of the Fall

I think that Gaga is cut from the same cloth as all the truly great artists that she has admired her whole life. She is never scared to take risks, she is restlesss and creative, commercialism is a secondary thought, she is never content to remain stagnant and what she chooses to do with her career has much more to do with what she feels like doing at that time rather than catering to the wishes of her fanbase. She appreciates her fans but she will never allow anyone to dictate or influence her artistic vision. She is fearless, fearless in a way that current mainstream acts are not and it makes her feel out of place and one of a kind in todays popular music scene. The general public did not appreciate or understand this in her imperial era, it took stripping away all the beautiful art for them to appreciate her raw talent and now people look back on the things that were needlessly controversial in those days and realize that what she acomplished was pure greatness, us fans knew that all along.
