Taylor gets a LOT of streams from these re-releases because people that have already heard the full album are listening to every song to see what’s new. If Gaga put out a Chromatica re-recorded or similar it might pull a lot of streams too, these rereleases are so different than normal releases

i think taylor swift is more polarizing (laughably) than the weeknd. i think people love to hate female pop music in general. the weeknd appeals to straights, gays, men, women, people of all races etc. he also collabs a lot international artists (rosalia, maluma) more than taylor does and just other big artists in general (ariana, daft punk, a multitude of rappers/ big name producers like diplo, calvin harris, etc) so he reaches listeners across all demographics

Gaga is not a streaming giant, what's good for Taylor is excellent for her... different standards!

Also to mention that streaming took off a LOT more later in 2020. Chromatica had one of the largest streaming debuts at the time.

it jumbet by a million and will jump more in the coming days LOL. 

monthly listeners is not the same as daily streams. she is outstreaming abel by more than 20m daily and now with 1989tv that gap is way over 80m. 

monthly listeners is mostly about how muhc playlist exposure you have and how many random people stream your songs, especially if it doesnt match your daily streams.
