Meanwhile casual gaylors are feeling like whipped dogs cowering guilty in a corner for their delusions..... don't love to see it, it's still hurting

erm, I just wouldn't speculate on celebs sexuality. Taylor has long maintained the image that she dates guys and has strong female friendships, this is the nicest way she could have said f*ck off, stop speculating, it is annoying and awkward for me and my friends.

At the end of the day these are real people and her friendships are different to her relationships. If I had to guess she is ok with speculation around her straight relationships because they are no longer together (or are and they are happy songs - Joe) therefore it is less awkward if the media and fans are talking about it. Her friendships on the other hand are people that she sees regularly and it would just be strange knowing that if you see your friend people think that it is confirmation you are dating. While you can make the argument that this is what she has basically trained us to do, but now she has made it clear that she is uncomfortable with it and I hope we see Gaylor theories die down (idk if we will tho)

There is a place for discussion of potential queer coding within Taylor's songs but this is interpretation of the listener rather than Taylor making it clear one way or another. Some feelings just are universal regardless of sexuality.

Ok but why does she care? People (me, hi) are always gonna talk sh*t, live your life ma'am lmao

Eh I mean I get you’re annoyed to be called easy when you’re still a teenager and have to take that so you try to pivot and they call you a lezzie :ladyhaha: like at that point it’s like oh ffs, I’d imagine :laughga:

Both. The Gaylor fandom is kinda a mix of both.  The main tag lines for the fandom are

1. they welcome queer interpretations and discussion of TS songs

2. They try to pinpoint Easter eggs where TS might have announced, hinted, or played coy about being anything but straight.

Until today, we had the Bi Pride wig in YNTCD, we had the Bi " P R O U D" bracelet instagram she wore in 2019, several live performances where she intentionally switched from male pronouns to female, and a bunch of lyrics where you could draw parallels to real life gay historic events like Stonewall, hairpin drops, and lavender hazes. She even copied the first lesbian magazine cover in the Eras tour. Down to the number of clouds and the ladder rungs. It was weird.

Oh, and her chemistry with Karlie Kloss was just insane. The Vogue "Bestest Best Friends" video was deleted last month after 9 years of being online. But it showcased that. (I actually accidentally archived that when I archived my YT watch list if anyone wants that.)

Also, who in their right minds intentionally sits on their best friends lap, for an entire interview on Jimmy Kimmel live, if they are straight....? It was again, weird...

So yeah today sent the gaylor fandom reeling like a kick in the teeth. The best way I can describe this to you is , we were all the happy little raccoon who goes to wash his cotton candy before eating it.... and the harsh reality of the prolouge was the water that dissolved all the gay dreams.

To the utter shock and disappointment of the raccoon.

Yes. It's me..hi. I'm the raccoon. I'm currently healing myself from my delusional stupidity. Thank God we actually do have a real Bi Queen

What Taylor did is classic backtracking/gaslighting and a reminder of the part of her that I really can't stand.

Taylor is a "mastermind" as she told us in an entire song, and it's just way too convenient that all of the clues and hints that Taylor gave all of a sudden isn't true this one time?

Let's not forget about her releasing Cruel Summer as a single on the same date she was photographed with Karlie Kloss years ago, along with all the references to their "friendship" in that song.

The fact that she released YNTCD as a gay anthem and all of a sudden became a vocal ally right after Me, a self-acceptance song. This was also when she was very close to Lena Dunham, an openly bi woman, and also spoke out politically for gay rights. It's a bit interesting how Taylor decides to become so involved in LGBT matters shortly after having what appears to be a fling with another woman.

My theory is that Karlie was an exception to her mostly straight dating lifestyle. I've noticed that for most straight people, there is one or two  same-sex people they encounter in their life that they develop romantic feelings for.

I think this is one instance where Taylor regretted dropping too many hints about her life and is backtracking. And if the rumors are true, Karlie was the one who turned Taylor down so she's probably embarrassed of the whole situation.

And I'm so frustrated because this happens all the time. Channing Tatum, Jessie J, Demi Lovato, Christina Aguilera, and even our beloved Gaga have all claimed to be bisexual or into others of the same sex, but have greatly distanced themselves from that afterward.

For sure, people are jerks :laughga:

I just thought by now, as a 30-something year old billionaire, why would she care about anybody's opinion :gayhat:

I'm a 20-something year old thousandaire (legitimate word, apparently, my spell check isn't underlining it) and I don't care :whitney:

She should go date or hang out with whoever she wants and let the little people chatter about it :whitney:

Ooooh yeah by now I’d be like who cares I meant more in the moment she’s speaking to I understood bc like if I’d been getting that since I was a teen I’d prob be annoyed to if I tried changing it only to be called gay hahahaha But at this point who cares like girl you’re milking these gaylors DRY for their money :laughga:

Or…she was leaning into gay rumors then bc it was cute and convenient and is “aghast” people are following up on them now. I see that as VERY likely also.

for instance, I’m sure she did know that release date thing you’re talking about…that could literally be food for the gays to munch on bc she knows the rumors and not a confession of anything.

You're absolutely right. It did feel creepy and I'm so glad I stopped reading it and buying into it!
