The pieces were handed over to the town hall on Tuesday, according to Agerpres. "It was the first time I encountered such a situation, the coins are superb, one is not the same as the other and they were very well preserved. The procedure says that they are inventoried by the mayor and handed over to the Culture Directorate of Hunedoara County. Together with the authorized searcher, I handed over the 407 coins, which will enter the Romanian state's heritage" , explained the mayor of the Şoimuş commune. "It could be that in the area where they were discovered there was also a Dacian or Roman fortress. Investigations are to be carried out by specialists from the Ministry of Culture", stated Irimie.
