The U.S. has a significantly higher homicide rate than every other developed advanced economy nation because of guns. The constitution does NOT allow anyone to have any weapon including just any kind of gun, and semi-automatic assault rifles we're not invented back then. We NEED federal gun reform. Every politician bankrolled by big gun money has blood on their hands. And yet, pro-gunners keep saying "it's a mental health issue" and "Guns are regulated in Chicago and look at the homicide rate" as if we don't live in a country without borders between states! We need massive federal reform now. The video of the police officer snapchatting like it was exciting while outside the Uvalde elementary school while they stalled stopping the shooter because they weren't able to safely (for them) stop him because of the gun he had. Gun culture in the US is so bizarre to me, Giving everyone the power to take a life with the flick of a finger is insanity.
