Blackout19 10,829
The saddest movie I saw, and it's my favorite movie of all time is The Secret Life Of Marilyn Monroe. It takes a smart brunette to play a dumb blonde.

Ziggy Stardust 77
That‘s easy. Dancer in the Dark with Björk. The WHOLE movie theater was sobbing. I have never seen anything like that. tbh, I would not want to watch it ever again. It‘s just too upsetting.

Ophelia 4,610
I like very controversial and challenging movies and have seen a lot of them, the saddest was definitely The Seventh Continent. It made me sit almost ten minutes in front of the black screen thinking about what I just saw. It is a masterpiece in modern cinema, but watch with caution if you have depressive tendencies. I recommend most of Michael Haneke's movies for similiar vibe, but this one hits like a brick ...has anybody seen my disco stick?
