As sad as it is, I wonder if it works because he's filthy rich and has no interest in fame? So many men are insecure when their partners make more money (not just in celebrity world), and Gaga has implied some of her previous partners didn't like that she was more famous/had more money.

Well society still pushes that idea a bit that a man that makes less than his female significant other is a failure so its not surprising some of them have that insecurity

 

I feel like years ago id care more (despite knowing theres nothing bad about that)... but now its like, as long as i made myself a respectable enough career and work hard to not just stay in a entre level job forever, then I am not a failure, and if my wife happens to make more, it doesnt have to devalue my success

 

My wife makes $26.50/h I make $23.25/h (tho i still make slightly more cuz my hours are longer and Im entitled to bonuses which are seperate)... and I am not bothered by the fact that she makes 3/h more than me

 

But i think 5 years ago id care more. Stigmas take time to shake off even when u know they are irrational kinda like irrational fears u have that u know dont make sense but u still feel it cuz its engrained in u

Oh I think that he’s independently wealthier and not wanting fame probably appeals a LOT to her when she’s had people wanting to use her name forever
