Nycboy 1,092 Posted October 18, 2023 Share Posted October 18, 2023 Reasons why this could happen: - the music is already made - it’s understood that the songs are 10 years old and the release would be a “gift” to fans, so critical evaluation wouldn’t matter as much (I think that critical judgement is what holds Gaga back most often) - it would require no promo / album rollout / tour Reasons why this won’t happen: - it’s lady gaga - she’s such a different person than she was back then. EGOT2027 10,893 Posted October 18, 2023 Share Posted October 18, 2023 i feel like she’s going to lay really low for most of next year (besides vegas and probably something for tony at the grammys) in preparation to be extremely exposed come joker time. this would be such a nice treat to hold us over. i’m going to be fully honest and say i think this is the first year since i got spotify that gaga won’t be one of my top 5 artists listened to this year. every time that freaking migraine ad comes on i just get sad……i miss her passion for art so much. a few weeks ago my 70 year old mother asked me, “what happened to gaga? does she just do commercials now?” i’m happy gaga seems happy, but i just miss her so much Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Gaga has moved on and so should we. i think it’s made worse by the fact that gaga has done hardly anything this year. we went from being fed constantly from 2020-2021 (with chromatica, gucci, gucci press tour, presenting best picture with a freaking legend, jazz album, vegas shows, a remix album, BTW 10th anniversary, and more) to almost nothing for a long while now. people just miss someone who means so much to us. plus she DID do something for her last album’s 10th anniversary. i think people just want SOME content from her. i think even something as simple as throwing brooklyn nights on streaming would shut people up. edit: i think it’s also made even worse by the fact that beyonce and taylor have been everywhere this year and meanwhile all we’ve seen from our queen is a big pharma ad. this is probably the first year since gaga became famous that there are other celebrities besides gaga that i’m more interested/invested in. that apology-type post a few days after the nurtec ad is really the first time since the beginning that i’ve seen gaga feel the need to apologize to the diehard fans. it’s been a weird year to be a little monster for sure Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
