LateToCult 41,861
According to the OLS, the minimum wage for small and large employers (501 or more employees) will be $19.97 an hour, starting on Jan. 1, 2024. The agency said in a release Monday the minimum wage will be $17.25 an hour for small businesses (500 employees or fewer) that do not pay at least $2.72 an hour towards employees' medical benefits or if the employees make at least $2.72 an hour in tips. Seattle's current minimum wage is $18.69 an hour. The incoming raise will be a 6.8% increase from 2023. The OLS said the minimum wage increase reflects the rate of inflation based on the Consumer Price Index for the Seattle Tacoma Bellevue area. https://www.king5.com/amp/article/money/seattle-raises-minimum-wage-2024/281-fa6a183a-0541-4a3a-8dff-c3de35b2e429

I'm on £10.50 and lucky that I work in food because I just eat for free on shift but regularly run out of money completely, best things in life are free so I can find joy without cash, weekly pay helps massively as well but the economy here is **** because young workers don't have money to spend so businesses (except big corporations) die off cos no one has money to spend. Shipper 13,114
At least this is minimum wage and NOT just fast food workers. People who work in warehouses, groceries, and other profession that DONT get TIPS, deserve the raise too. I know prices will skyrocket as a response but I do appreciate that they cut small businesses some slack. 🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶🩶

I dont mind at all! That's basically where all the money goes, that, gas and electricity. Yeah I live with a childhood friend, I think considering we pay £375 a month for rent, we get effectively a full house.
