Sweet Sounds Of Heaven had Gaga fans divided- again. There was a general consensus that a rock era would be appreciated, yet here's a taste and, much to my regret, the majority only listened on release day. While there's not much more to talk or make threads about the song, fanfic threads about LG7 are still going on strong ("Minerva" :cryga:) so the question has to be brought up.

What is the general consensus this time around about Rock-Ga? Did SSOH change your opinion? Or is it that all you ever wanted were pop songs with electric guitars?

As much as I love SSOH, it’s still not a Gaga song. She does glorified background vocals, not even a full verse is just her. :zilla: I’d love for her to do an actual song like that. Or really any type of rock, whether it’s more blues like TRS, hard rock like Metallica, or something soft like Fleetwood Mac.

Not really? I feel like Gaga (and by extension, her team) are....aware...that what most fans want from a rock era would be very different from what was present on a Rolling Stones collaboration.

You should give a poll option for those of us who never wanted RockGa.

Idk... I love the song, her voice sounds beautiful, but it's not what I expect from a Gaga rock album at all. It's nice, I will play it when I'm feeling that vibe, but not something I'm like "wow this changed my life"

So I would say.. has not changed my opinion (and that opinion is.. idc what genre, I want Gaga songs to sing to)

I don’t think SSOH is indicative of what Gaga’s own rock infused album could sound like, since it’s a Rolling Stones song on a Rolling Stones album.

she has zero songwriting/production credits.  Only served background vocals.

i think a Gaga rock album could sound like a mix of BTW and Joanne.

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

I always wanted a rock album from her with songs like You & I, Electric Chapel, Bad Kids... But that song didn't help honestly and isn't representative of what a Gaga rock song could sound like as she's just a feature

When I imagine "rock-Ga" I think either 70s style Beatles poppy rock like Just Another Day, or I also think about heavy metal go-go Gaga in fishnets making hairspray fireballs and snarling and growling into the mic like Moth Into the Flame. And I've been thirsty for ha for years. YEARS!

BUT now that I heard SSOH and the Oscars version of Hold My Hand, I am so thirsty for... GospelGa?!?!? :nooo:

It's hard to judge a whole genre because of one specific song

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

A full rock influenced album would be great! Maybe not every song in the style of SSOH though

No. Cuz I’ve always said a rock album from her would NOT work. It’s gonna be a mess.

We already have A Star is Born and Joanne, which both heavily feature Rock as a genre. That's 2/4 of her most recent studio albums. IDK why people keep asking for more RockGa.

**People called Joanne her country album, but it was really mostly a rock/americana album with Country influences. Perfect Illusion was very rock and flopped. I can't go through another era like this again..
