Gaga's patented moves or fashion

Featured Posts

I was watching a few videos about Michael Jackson because I saw Madonna paid homage to him during her Celebration Tour. I came across the moonwalk and the gravity lean move, both iconic, timeless, and MJ-patented... among other things.

Thinking about Gaga, did she ever patent some of her stuff? Or, what Gaga "thing" can we think of that...if copied by other artists, you would think "hey, that's by Lady Gaga." I can only think of a few things that we can really associate with Gaga that the public will know:

 - the meat dress

 - the orbit dress (Bad Romance)

 - "Paws Up" hand gesture

 - really tall heels, armadillo heels

 - Poker Face LED glasses (Muse frontman actually copied this, but quick to mention Gaga about it)

 - hair bow (but i think she copied this from Paris Hilton?)

 - disco stick (sad not to see it in TCB)

 - make up with fermented arnica :billie:

 - "100 people in the room..." - though i know this is not hers, even Madonna mentioned such before

I wont mention some others, but really what Im wondering is that...what objects or moves can Gaga and her team patent, that people can easily associate with her.

I know Ms. Swift has been doing this.

rinasawachanta

- Disco stick

- Shoulder pads

- Glass/Disco bra

- Bold heels

- Leather jacket on top, panties on bottom

- Sunglasses on stage

- KEYTAR (sadly this element is not as often recognized as part of the Gaga canon but she is without doubt the most popular artist to have incorporated it, and in an iconic way).

- Unconventional, artistic, over the top pianos/keytars

- Playing the piano standing on the stool or with one leg on top of it

- Facial horns

And so many other things, I could go on and on... It's pretty impressive

I’d say not too many moves since most of hers reference other artists BUT the monster paw and face for sure would be one even if it def is derived from rock and metal scenes. It’s still its own thing.

fashion is an easy one so I won’t even list them extensively lmao but I’ll add one that’s often overlooked yet synonymous with her and that’s the heart lipstick design and Mickey glasses from paparazzi.

for a time also HEAVY makeup. Even when the girls were playing catch up, clock the mug. They were wearing way more “pretty” makeup or sometimes just plainly less than her while Gaga was fully in a near drag beat all of TFM-BTW lmao (ARTPOP kinda oscillated between heavy makeup and no makeup so I don’t count it as part of the streak)
