Super 1,041 Posted October 12, 2023 Share Posted October 12, 2023 was obsessed w/ her first album when it came out but after that i felt like her work became kinda meh for someone as talented as her? like she could be much more. but this one got me excited; if it is any indicative of the album shes finally making the music she was born to make. also the production reminded me a lot of johnny jewel which i absolutely love. I personally don’t like getting almost the entire album before release in form of singles, it ends up diluting the experience of the „freshly“ released work of body with only 2-3 new songs which then for the most parts don’t hit as hard, since the key pieces have been released prior.. I had the same experience with Robyn’s 2018 Honey, where on release day I was so disappointed, but after a while and taking the album in again as a whole is one of my all time favorite records 🫶🏻 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
