Joanne is underrated as hell in the fanbase. Such a shame. It's a great album and I listen to it much more than Paparazzi (or anything off The Fame these days), so I am voting for Joanne. :vegas:

Paparazzi, obviously. For me, its one of her most iconic songs EVER.

While I like the Joanne album, and I think it's very underrated actually, its not her best work imo. I know she made it in a way she felt was right, but for my taste, a lot of songs in that album had a lot of potential to be real bangers... but they weren't because of the stripped down production she chose for the songs. I know she wanted it that way, it was a conscious creative choice, but I felt the album could've been so much more with a more powerful, rockish type of production.

One example is Diamond Heart. There are some alternate arrangements of the song in YouTube that made the original sound like a demo in comparison. This is what I'm talking about. I can't even listen to the original version anymore when THIS arrangement exists.

Joanne, of course

This album is the most underrated thing that Gaga ever made

Its not even the “stripped back” intrumentals that are problem, I dont think the songs needed to be more “powerful” or busy, just made by people who actually could’ve delivered a solid late 70s / early 80s pop rock sound like Stevies older solo work. Andrew Watt for example did a great job producion the newest Stones song, he understands how to work those kinds of instruments without making the songs feel awkward like most of Joanne’s tracks.
