I miss her face so much. She was so expressive when performing which really adds to the experience. The faerie mask is pretty, but stiff and emotionless, just staring into space

I would DIE! But she seems to be rejecting all her old music. Idk what happened to her between After School and Portals but something is different... She's mentioned multiple times she doesn't want to go back to her old stuff, that she doesn't relate to it anymore, artists shouldn't have to constantly relive their past etc. Plus the "I hate who I was before" in Void.. It kinda saddens me that she seems to have turned against her past. Idk it's hard to explain

I definitely see what you mean, I'm gonna give her the benefit of the doubt and say that she's just SO invested in Portals (in more ways than one) that she can't connect with her past stuff at the moment. She's all about evolution so I wouldn't be surprised if she sees past eras as just that, past eras. It could also just be as simple as she's performed her old material so much and for so long that she can't be bothered with those songs currently. I think she'll come around in due time, and will perform older songs for sure. I can't imagine her completely cutting off Cry Baby or K-12. That would be like Gaga permanently removing songs like Poker Face, Bad Romance, Just Dance, etc. from future setlists and performances. Without a doubt, she recognizes the success and is grateful for the platform and opportunities her past work has brought her. She probably just wants to be known for her more recent art as well. I remember back in the day she talked about disliking being known as "the girl from The Voice" - And now she's kind of known mostly for Cry Baby due to it's massive commercial success. It seems to be a pattern for Mel to sort of dislike what she's (at the moment) most known for, especially if it's something from years prior. She'll come around for sure!
