RAMROD 117,011
Tinder has officially rolled out its most exclusive subscription — “Tinder Select” — according to a report by Bloomberg. This elite pay-to-date tier will cost love seekers $500 per month (or $6,000 annually — apparently there are no bulk discounts to be found here) for access to unique features like exclusive search and matching. This may sound ridiculous to the general public, and it may be why Tinder has decided to hold off on making the new tier available to everyone just yet. Tinder Select has only been offered to less than one percent of users the company considers “extremely active.” Tinder told Bloomberg that it will open up applications for Tinder Select on a rolling basis but it didn’t say exactly when. Tinder's exclusive membership was originally hinted at all the way back in 2019. The owners of Tinder, Match Group, have dabbled in exclusive dating apps before, like The League, which it bought in 2022, so it’s not too much of a shock to see Tinder also get reframed for the lonely rich. Is this worse than paying for verification when you have less than 1,000 followers on other social media networks? Yes. Yes, it is. Whether these paid versions will increase your personal odds of finding a partner is anyone's best guess. Thankfully, Tinder (and the majority of competitor dating apps) retain unpaid membership options, so those of us without $500 a month to burn can continue to get ghosted for free. https://www.engadget.com/you-can-find-love-on-tinder-for-500-a-month-if-you-qualify-for-its-elite-tier-213159522.html (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ ᶠʳᵒⁿᵗ ᵗᵒʷᵃʳᵈ ᵉⁿᵉᵐʸ (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡

berlinforme 5,385
Yeah but why would one do that? If you get no matches at 0$, why would you pay 500$ for no matches?
Helxig 45,335
Sooo.. how does this work? What are the benefits? Do they get the option to just openly see every profile and scroll through them without needing to swipe and match?... like Grindr?... I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. Controversiaga 15,991
This allows rich ppl to meet and date other rich ppl. Rich ppl don’t want to waste their time swiping through profiles of ppl who are a different class level than them. tbh it’s kinda understandable. Lots of rich ppl fear someone may only date them for their money- so if they know the other person already has their own money, they can have peace of mind Hence the title “elite” . idk. Rich ppl problems that none of us here can relate to lol xoxo Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

holy scheisse 22,907
There will be rich, h0rny people that pay for this no doubt. And since most users who are broke or mid/low class don’t pay for any tier membership at all I can imagine it’s worth it for them to try and cater to the small amount of people that’ll pay the equivalent of like dozens of normal peoples memberships that don’t wanna pay lol
