No one says that when she releases stuff cause that's the point, she's releasing stuff and stops the ads for a few days. That's basically all we want, more meaningful content.

I suggest you go check her instagram page. Notice how the ads have increased since 2021. We don't like to complain but there's a reason if we do. Maybe you just don't mind them but i hate to see her turn into an annoying influencer

Expand

What do you mean by "meaningful content" though? She posted a lot about the jazz shows recently and clearly she's passionate about that. It's meaningful to her. Likewise, Haus Labs is her brand. I get that it may be annoying to see her constantly post about HL—frankly, I'm very indifferent towards it—but it's her company. Of course she's going to post about it. And clearly, it's meaningful to her too.

But if you "hate" to see her turning into an "annoying influencer"...again...then why continue stanning her? You're on a Lady Gaga forum, a place where <1% of the general population goes. You have to stan her pretty hardcore to continually be on this website and interact with people here. Like I said in my previous comment, if people aren't happy with her that's their prerogative, but also, they have the ability to change that. Maybe just don't be super invested in her and come back when she releases something you're passionate about.

I just hate when people point out how she’s pushing 40 as a bad thing. Basically every single pop star has talked about ageism in pop music, yet again y’all put it at every occasion. Beyoncé’s 42, Taylor is just 4 years younger than Gaga, Madonna is still here. All of them are within Gaga’s age(except Madonna) and be doing the MOST. NEXT!

Expand

Girl, I’m not saying it’s a bad thing :fail:. I was using it as a way to say of course she isn’t going to be on socials 24/7. Everyone gets so mad because she only posts promos for Haus Labs or anything else she’s currently working on! I’m just saying eventually you grow up, and you stop worrying about frivolous things such as social media. Literally nothing bad about her being almost 40. I’ve loved her since she was 23 and I’ll love her when she’s 103.

@CyanDante @deactivated001 Please go ahead and block me so you don't need to see my opinions anymore. The negativity you bring to these threads is suffocating.

The OP of this thread, an infrequent poster, specifically said they were hesitant to share their opinion, and it is because of the mocking attitude users like yourselves bring.

And, as I expected, their post was LMAO'd by the usual people. How is that not against the rules of this site? Thanks in advance for the block.

Chill dude. You voiced your opinions. I expressed mine. I made one simple comment, that made you feel suffocated :ladyhaha: Cue the dramatics.

Certainly don't care enough that will go through all that you write and then go ahead and block. Need to get off that high horse.

Unlike you, this barbie can ignore and not give two shits. :vegas:

Sad. I don't mean to point fingers but there's been a lot of this toxic-positive, backhanded behavior towards fans voicing their opinions on GGD lately.

I think you were a mod at one point, as well, which makes this even more baffling. It's okay for fans to disagree without you, (specifically you) mocking them and lmao'ing their (my) sincerely held opinions multiple times.

There are reasons this site and fanbase are dwindling, and this is a big one I have personally noticed.

I wouldn't say i "stan" her anymore.

I'm here mostly for pop culture news at this point since it's all they post. We don't have many relevant Gaga news.

Honestly i continue to be a fan cause I'm still emotionally attached to her music but i haven't found another fave to replace her with even tho part of me kinda wants to move on :huntyga: i just can't see myself in her and don't really look up to her as a person anymore.

I still very much appreciate her as an artist but as a person/celebrity she's become exactly like a Kardashian to me.

I know it sounds harsh but it's just how I've been feeling lately and i really wish that wasn't the case as I've been a fan from the start

Idk about you, but if someone on social media isn’t posting anything I care about, I just don’t engage with it. So sorry that content you could easily ignore is “unbearable.”

I only check her instagram occasionally to see if she posted something interesting for once and every single time i just see ad after ad. So i can definitely ignore her. But i also wish she would be more interesting, at least as she used to be.

Remember all those cryptic posts? Those photos in the studios?

That really used to hype me up. I just want more of that. Don't tell me you wouldn't

Fr. Like in what world does everything Gaga post warrant a deep-seated reaction from every one of her fans?

How about the 150 average signed in GGD users vs 3,500 guest accounts silently watching? Who never engage with us because they see the way certain users act?

@Judas Society I'm sorry to see your thread derailed by the usual suspects posting in bad faith and telling people to unstan.

I'm going to take a break from you guys on GGD now. If anyone wants to speak to me, I'm very active on other forums.

@deactivated001 go ahead and LMAO react this one as well, I'm sure you're eager to. Bye people.

I am so proud of her for the healthy boundaries she has learned how to put up and hold for herself over the years. In my opinion it's an indication that she is prioritizing her personal wellness and relationships. I have no issues with it.

Same. She seems to be the happiest and healthiest she has been in years. I think its due to her setting necessary boundaries. Her happiness is top priority. Same as our own health and wellbeing should be top priority for ourselves.  But we cannot look to her to make us happy all the time. We need to do that for ourselves. And I think thats the problem with many fans. They always expect too much and complain when we actually get something from her. Just bc its something they dont like. She needs to live for HER, not us. Like everyone sh*tting on her jazz eras. She LOVES performing jazz and it makes her SO happy! Someone here even said they were relieved once Tony died so she could “move past jazz forever”. She is passionate about it. Not everyone has to love it, but we should support her passions.

I think this is less of a byproduct of her fandom being less rabid and more that her brand has expanded waaay beyond her early career. Back then we would rally behind every extra-curricular thing she was doing because there weren’t many of them. Lady Gaga is now a massive multimedia icon with a successful makeup brand, a foundation, a lucrative residency, films, music, etc. She’s no longer that scrappy pop star with a cult following that the mainstream turns their nose at. It’s not better or worse than it was, it’s just wildly different. Take comfort in knowing that she’s pretty much universally beloved now and has a lot of impact beyond the archaic Hot 100 chase that defined her early career.
