gothicdream 39,655
I was in school and there was an announcement made over the speaker for all classrooms to stop lessons and turn on the news. My teacher turned it on right before the second tower was hit and I watched it in real time I remember it vividly.
GregJA 5,531
We were watching cartoons and had flipped past a news channel with 1 tower hit, then before school my aunt called my mom and that's when she switched it to find out what was actually happening, and it was all anyone talked about at school that day. Lady Adga 8,664
It was almost eight o'clock in the morning in my city (Tijuana, México), in New York it would be 11 o'clock. I was 11 yo. I was leaving my house, on my way to school with my brother (8), when a neighbor asked me if I knew about the terrorist attack that had happened in the United States, that airplanes had crashed into some buildings. I answered that I didn't know anything, I went back home and saw on the news what had happened, it seemed like a movie. For my young age, I did not really understand the magnitude of what I was seeing. But it stuck in my memory. Here's a full video, btw:
calmar 22,768
I was at home watching TV while it all happened, yes. I was 8 years old, almost 9, and I was at home because I had cancer and was being remedially homeschooled. I'll never forget it. Or the fact my dad was mad at me for not studying and instead just watching tv
