bro wtf is he talking about anti science. a lot of his stances are anti science

When right-wingers accuse someone of being anti-science, they usually mean stupid, wrong "science" like "there are only two genders". (Most often they frame this in religious terms, but sometimes they pretend it's "science".) Or they're insisting on the reality of intrinsic racial differences (also rejected by real biologists). That sort of thing.

We always have a choice to be selfish as **** or not.  What constitutes evil?  If it's not an extreme selfishness at the expense of others, I don't know what is.  I don't think people realize how much even 1 billion dollars is.  You say it so flippantly, as if a billion dollars is just a slightly higher wealth bracket than millionaire.  It's not, it's a huge jump.  And it's also a huge portion of the global wealth hoarded into individuals' pockets.  Inherently, in order to possess that kind of wealth, millions of people must be impoverished.

In other terms, if there are 10 apples on the table and five people, then you take and hoard 9 of them, leaving the other 4 people to fight over the last one, you're an asshole.  Whether or not something is human nature doesn't matter.  We've created society, rules and ethics for a reason- it makes our lives better.  Having billions doesn't come without a huge cost to other people, and extreme wealth isn't generated out of thin air nor through hard work.  It comes on the backs of workers, people you screw over in business and world crises you could solve yet actively refuse to help because you have a wet dream of colonizing mars, or some dumb ****.

Besides, this really isn't even a moral issue at the end of the day as much as it is a logical issue.  None of us here, odds are, will ever become billionaires.  So why the hell should we bend to the interests of billionaires just because of some abstract principal of their right to wealth?  If it's actively hurting the world, shouldn't something be done about that?

The solution is so simple, just tax the wealthy, but we cant expect people to willingly give billions of their money away because that will never happen. Nobody here would give their billions away if they ever get to that net worth, they will want more power and influence.

Arent we all participating in literal slave labor on things we dont really need? We are not evil, but the change have to be systemic just like with billionaires.
