The chromatica ball film will be Apple TV+ exclusive and will be announced at the upcoming apple event along with announcement of the new iPhone 15 on September 12th.

new apple device owners get 3 months of apple tv+ for free so this will be the incentive to have users join apple tv+ .

Am I right or wrong? When do you think chromatica ball film will be announced?

Pretty sure the film can't be released right now due to the strike and HMH, Shallow and ARUTW being soundtrack songs.

Taylor’s releasing hers

And many tour films cut out songs to make the film shorter

I really need think if she releases before the strike is over there will be viral tweets, videos, tik toks etc. saying she's scabbing. Even if it's technically not true because TCB is music related, it can be spun as her supporting the studios (Apple, Netflix etc) over her own union. It will give haters a "valid" reason to drag her. It's not a risk worth taking.

I’d love it, and it’s not impossible, but also not likely.

They could pull a U2 and make a big deal out of it, especially considering Tim Cook being gay and Gaga’s history with Apple (Apple Park concert,  Gaga Radio, Remix Sessions, iTunes Festival)

Great, now I want this to happen and I’m gonna be disappointed :cryga:

I don't think Taylor is worried about scabbing + not sure if she's actually SAG? Even if she is a majority of her music isn't soundtrack.

I think if Gaga cuts 2 fan favorites + the encore/closing of the show people will riot as it's an incomplete show. We haven't even touched on her not being able to promote it on social media if it's going to streaming.

Also Apple and Gaga already collaborated by making Stupid Love filmed only with iPhones

Also there was once a video of Gaga and A-Yo at the 2016's fall Apple Event

Taylor has acting in a couple feature films, is she also SAG? Taylor is releasing her tour in theatres in October . Why can she get away with it but not Gaga?

not arguing just genuinely asking!!!

There are no soundtrack songs in Taylor's setlist is the kicker there though. If Gaga were to include soundtrack songs in her film it could fall under the strike rules

this makes so much sense. maybe they dont want her to be dragged. taylor has a reputation (pun intended) for being americas sweet heart and the nice white blonde so nothing can harm her meanwhile it can destroy gaga. Also people are more critical of gaga

Where's the spunk, Adam?

I think the songs stand alone. They’re not just considered promotion for a film.  She can sing the songs.

I'm still convinced the strike has nothing to do with it at all and that's just plain Gaga team behavior - wait until the date's anniversary

The rules are confusing, but to me this makes them a violation:

"according to SAG-AFTRA chief negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, who says that artists are expected to avoid promoting music created for film, TV and streaming under the old contract during the strike. They also cannot enter into any new music licensing agreements or approve any new tracks for film or TV projects and must cease promoting songs already licensed"

https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/hollywood-writers-actors-strike-music-impact-1235400448/

Those three songs were created for film in the old contract. But maybe I'm reading it wrong.
