The Nintendo Switch successor may have been shown to the press and developers at Gamescom, based on the latest rumor.

The Xbox Two podcast co-host Jez Corden took to Twitter to share that he recently came across a bunch of rumors regarding Nintendo showing and discussing the Nintendo Switch successor behind closed doors to select individuals from the press and development community at Gamescom.

While Corden didn’t offer any details regarding the reliability of his sources, he has often been correct with regards to the information he has shared in the past. Therefore, we’re inclined to believe that, at the very least, Nintendo may have held a behind closed doors meeting with important members of the development community in order to discuss its next console’s hardware specs, development kits, and other technical details.

Previously, multiple sources had indicatedthat the Nintendo Switch successor would receive an official announcement in the Summer of 2023. During a recent episode of Last of the Nintendogs, host Jeff Grubb, who is known for his connections in the video game industry, had mentioned that he heard there would be some sort of announcement regarding the Nintendo Switch successor in the second half of 2023, during the Summer period.

If this is the case, perhaps November reveal and Q1 next year release? :gum:

It's most likely an evolution of the Switch instead of a whole new console tho

this - i can’t imagine they would ever ditch the handheld or console approach that the switch perfected - and i can’t imagine an updated version that would be different enough to call an entirely new console

This. But I’m also afraid of a Wii U 2.0 scenario where nintendo wolf he satisfied enough with doing a Switch 2 like a PS5 from PS4, and may add a gimmick to inflate costs and confuse consumers again…

Like Nintendo really did that w the Switch. Their best console ever I fear…

Let alone now that the Switch is about to pass PS2 as the best selling console of all time

what the hell... the switch is great, why do we need to change it all up:messga:

It's been six years, g0rl. The hardware in it is ancient compared to the competition.
