It’s such a freaking dance banger. The production is just perfect. can’t believe people have the nerve to trash it. Pitchfork gave this album a great review. not that I care about them but YASSS. Cleverly crafted, soul-cleansing pop, with an eye for the zeitgeist and a spring in its step. After ~the last few years~ I'm so glad Kylie proved she had an album like this in her. It would be so easy for her to just sit back, roll in the wine empire proceeds and put out a collection of tame disco pastiches every couple of years. I was starting to think that was the way things were going. But here she comes, with her most authentic, energetic, and best of all cool project in a decade, reminding us all why she is pop music itself ✨ If Disco was the pre-drinks, Tension's the show itself.
