Where in my comment did you see me defend TERFS? me calling them liberal feminists is not a defense of them. Liberals and feminists can be transphobic too. If you want to be effective in combating transphobia, you need to know the difference between TERFS and right wingers talking points. Saying Roisin Murphy is a TERF because shes using right wing talking points doesnt make sense. Im a conservative but I 100% fully support trans rights, but im still confused about trans sports and kids transitioning. I dont think that makes me a TERF or a right wing transphobe. Mario Roberto Flores 100
One of the greatest defenders of Trans rights and a doctor and eminence in the field of transition between the sexes said and I repeat it: "if a boy does not produce an adequate amount of testosterone at puberty, he will not be able to feel an orgasm in his adult life". That single documented fact has made me change my opinion regarding blocker treatments in children. I could not have this on my conscience, to support a movement that prevents a person from having a full sexual life.

freebit 6,127
Not her going down the Anna Biller route. Falling for and buying into an engineered argument by the far right is such a sad confirmation that the person isn't that intelligent.

RichAssPiss 4,725
The U.S. Supreme Court is systematically overturning the right to medical privacy. She, or anyone else, should have no say over the treatment I receive from my trained and informed medical doctor. Period. Overturning Roe v. Wade was the first step in the end of medical privacy. That's why all these anti-trans healthcare bans have been passing. The Supreme Court lit the fuse. And the end result is the loss of bodily autonomy. Lady Rah Rah 1,963
Every child should be allowed to explore their gender and not have to hide their identity. However, the fact people try and say trans = being gay is wrong imo. It’s two completely different things. People can be trans but identify as straight/be attracted to the opposite of their birth assigned gender. Medically transitioning at a very young age (by young I mean less than 10 years old) is concerning to me. I knew I was gay from a very young age but you don’t have to have medical procedures to be gay/bisexual etc. so comparing being trans to being gay can actually be damaging to trans people imo because it makes the assumption that being trans is the same as not being straight. I’m not a medical expert so I don’t know the long term effects of puberty blockers on a young child, but what upsets me is the people advocating for very young children to have top/bottom surgery. That’s so irresponsible and nothing will change my mind on that and again, it’s my opinion so everyone will feel differently. Yes transgender children deserve the utmost care, support and respect and should be allowed to explore their feelings. But allowing them to go through a permanent physical change so young is irresponsible imo. Chromatica will live on forever.

What is the "adequate amount"? What is this timeframe for "puberty"? Is he referring only to ejaculation or does he mean all orgasms? On top of that, is the potential for a full sexual life worth going through the wrong puberty, causing irreversible changes to one's body? Is that going to be the same answer for every single person? PinkJelly 1,693
Just logged in from my usual late night lurking on here to say that as a trans woman myself, some of the misinformation and views on trans children shared over these last four pages make me incredibly sad. What’s even sadder? I bet 90% are a part of the LGBT+ community, making it even harder to read. If you haven’t lived it personally, at least read up from reputable sources about trans health before adding your 2 cents. Ignorance just isn’t an excuse anymore.
