ummm didn’t he just write about how he’s losing his house or something?

did this new article only happen because he needed a check?

if so that’s pretty sad

We all know the real reason he’s upset is because he didn’t get the attention and accolades that came with the cover.

His priority is his career and that only. He was complaining about the strikes making him lose money the other day, he only cares when he’s impacted.

I mean, yeah... basic literacy skills would tell you he's angry about the misplaced recognition. your take isn't the gotcha you think it is.

and he talked about living pay check to pay check and having to sell his house because his wages were so low and he can't work now because executives won't negotiate. don't twist people's words, it's very unbecoming.

i get what he is saying but its not bad to be a straight white man and a bit feminine, or fully feminine.. and imo u shouldnt have a problem with someone just because they havent had to sacrafice something.. in an ideal world no one would have to sacrifice their career for their queer identity or expression

then they also trash men they perceive as feminine so their take is utter bs and shouldn't be dignified like this

Not sure where it said that I was dignifying what they were saying. You are right about the attack on femininity, but I'd prefer that you do not twist my words.

don't worry, no twist was necessary. you were literally blaming him and this take for right wing people saying there's an attack on straight whitness

Billy Porter is a jealous, bitter person who thinks he’s more important than he actually is.

Vogue owes him nothing :fan: He also isn’t the first gay man to wear women’s fashion openly, nor does he have any ownership of the.. fashion genre (I’m not sure what I should call it) that he’s making a big deal about.

Harry Styles has never confirmed his sexuality, and he’s refusal to do so is refreshing given that sexuality is nobody else’s businesses but his. I like that someone ‘straight’ can wear feminine pieces in pop culture.. it only normalizes it further. His outbursts re: this have become ridiculous :fail:

People like him have it easy because they’re attractive, they’re passing, and easily to swallow. Feminine but not too effeminate. If he were effeminate, he wouldn’t be a sex symbol. He would be the butt of everyone’s jokes. We clearly have examples of talented people being ridiculed for that even in 2023.

as a gay boy who used to be fluid visually... I love even more when it's a straight person being fluid with visuals.

I think it's reinforcing the idea that visual is just visual. I think it's a way to mindfawk with haters more.

I like Kurt Cobain saying things like "I wish i was gay to piss homophobes off"

idk. just a personal take.

love.

Okay, to clarify:

My main issue is that I am concerned that statements like this can be taken the wrong way. I also really don't understand why people keep attacking Harry over stuff like this because I think it just hurts a lot of movements that are trying to dismantle the whole "men can only wear 'traditionally' masculine items" stigma. Plus people keep assuming Harry's sexuality as straight when he himself has stated that he does not feel the need to be open with his sexuality. It scares me that we might head towards another situation like with that actor that was forced out of the closet because of the hate he was receiving.

Got nothing to say? This wouldn't be the first time that you weren't able to reply, considering that time you were extremely disrespectful to me in that American Life rap thread in 2022.
