He's complaining about property value in a city where a cardboard box to sleep in runs as much as a two story family home in other states

It's my understanding that these are people arriving at the southern border of the US seeking asylum. They then have to be processed through the proper immigration channels -- they may be allowed to stay, they may be denied, but they need somewhere to stay in the meantime. 

The southern states send some of them to NYC where the city puts them in hotels. Joe is complaining that there is apparently a group staying near his building.

It still sounds dog whistle-y and racist when you consider it in the context of him supporting Trump and other American conservative politicians, policies, and media. That's the issue. It's another lump on the pound of crap he's been spewing and supporting.

But tbh I never got the big issue over immigration. Even undocumented immigrants give more to the community than rich f*cks do. Like, what has Joe given to the world other than two talented daughters and a mid bistro with rat problems?

Yeah maybe? I just dont have enough context to make that judgement on him. He seems like a typical boomer that went crazy during the Trump era, and is on a political loop of talking politics none stop, like alot of Americans today.

I support illegal immigration, but I also understand why people are against it. I think im more against mass immigration than illegal immigration. I think North America are the best when it comes to immigration, so I dont know what hes complaining about.

I don't know much about immigration personally. @Flippy took me to a museum in LA that really made my heart hurt for immigrants so I'm tempted to say dissolve all borders and let people live wherever tf they want.

Not sure about the repercussions of that but I'm not in charge of any borders so that doesn't really matter
