In my opinion her best following the monster ball

Gaga read my letter and gave me a huge hug during the second Toronto show which brought the trend back.

I'm sorry :( did you get to go to TCB?

I couldn't go to Düsseldorf or Paris. I wasn't at ease financially like some years earlier. So I followed all the gigs online... Anyway. Some other time. It will probably happen again.

But I was soo ready for JWT. I put a lot of energy to prepare and I was so hyped to see her live cause I really fell for LG watching AHS Hotel and then listening to Joanne a year long non-stop in my car stereo. There was so much excitment and expectation. That's why I was really affected when it was cancelled.

Knowing in advance that I couldn't attend TCB, I wasn't cranked up as much. But sitting home behind my monitor, I remember thinking I was missing something huge...

Late to the party but I got a diamond heart

It was my best concert experience ever personally, it was in Antwerp Belgium and the stage/set was so alive. She was all over the place constantly parading and changing costumes. I had GA tickets and got to see her up close during Applause and the piano segment.

Wish I could attend... It was postponed then cancelled in Zürich. I had everything ready, from outfit to airbnb and parking close to the venue. Early access too. I got all my money back but I mourned for days...

Actually same. Me and my buddy had everything booked for Cologne. Train tickets, airbnb and early entry tickets… I was sad for so long.

RIP SOPHIE 🤍

In my opinion :

S tier costumes and stage design.

Somewhat bland art direction.

Underwhelming performance / lack of passion from Gaga. (understandable)

Eh, I feel like her vocal delivery and stage presence were actually excellent

i was able to see it during one of the few early european dates she ended up going ahead with (birmingham night one) and it was a fantastic experience. a lot of people like to compare it to the chromatica ball but it was in a completely different category. the jwt was a fantastic pop show, with amazing vocals, costumes and atmosphere, but tcb was a conceptual performance with far more focus on the artistic side over anything else. i've always seen jwt as almost like a part two to the coachella performance, as it really feels like a big celebratory, awe-inspiring performance, whereas tcb is more like a theatre performance or something more akin to her past work.

Her best tour vocals hands down, decent costumes, kinda by the numbers production without a super clear focus (very generic pop show), decent setlist. I had a fun time! But tbh it didn’t really wow me as other concerts have. It was fun and cute but for her reputation I was a little muted in my response to it at the end of the day.

I’ll also add this was the post superbowl Gaga era when wealthy, suburban, low energy, judgy dad types started hitting up the shows so it felt like a little less of a queer space and more of a generic pop act space. I’m sure that also contributed to the time I had. On the flip, for recent reference, Renaissance kept a VERY hyped lovely queer friendly crowd despite Beyoncé pulling fans from like 30ish years of stardom. Idk what it was but JWT just felt a little “for everyone” where prior shows felt “for us”

Battle 4 Ur Life

Yes I was there! I saw it in NYC and it was awesome.

Applause was the most memorable song for me. It was just a huge adrenaline rush, the colors, the outfits, the lighting. And I was screaming “Put your hands up, make them touch, MAKE IT REAL LOUD!”

other moments like Bad Romance, Lovegame, Telephone, John Wayne and Joanne were definitely highlights!” When she ended with Joanne I blew a kiss at her with tears in my eyes and I could swear she was looking at me.

although when I think about it I only get flashes from my memory because I was just too excited and then I drank (not too much but still) so in my head it sort of happened in a blink of an eye really. post concert amnesia is a real thing, google it. but I’ll never forget leaving the stadium overwhelmed and completely happy.

It was awesome. my first and so far only.

I saw it in NYC and it rained so they couldn't use the moving stage! But they performed the whole thing in the rain anyway. Amazing. I like to think it was the night that inspired Rain On Me.

JWT was designed to have mass appeal. Keep in mind Gaga also had more attention from C2C, not just the Super Bowl.  Also, giving the meaning behind Joanne, I almost feel like a bunch of theatrics would have been…disrespectful?

Enigma was Gaga attempting to return to theatrics, but I wholeheartedly believe that the show was always supposed to be temporary until the LG6 release.

The Chromatica Ball was artistic.  Gaga had two years to create a vision and she knew exactly what she wanted the audience to walk away with.  It almost felt like she wanted to remind the GP who weren’t fans pre-Joanne that she is “LADY GAGA.”  She wanted to convey the meaning behind her music through her performance.
