Not just because I was tripping on acid when she released the song live as a surprise.. When my grandfather passed later that year, after visiting him for the final time in the hospital, as soon as we got in the car and I began to cry.. the radio came on.. and.. The Cure was playing. It was exactly what I needed in that moment. Purely coincidental. THEN I suddenly got a job and got the opportunity to move across the country days later. socotra 3,310 Posted August 5, 2023 Share Posted August 5, 2023 The Cure gives me blue balls of what sort of R&B gold Gaga could make with the right people and ideas – but it's just kinda meh overall, leaves a lot to be desired and feels undercooked compared to the rest of her singles Heal Me, meanwhile, is smooth and sunny and a really easy, lovely listen imo. Maybe I view it a bit differently because it's "Aly" and not 100% a Gaga song, but I still love it for what it is and is one of my faves from the ASIB soundtrack. I feel like it's overshadowed by a lot of the other (bigger) songs from that album and looked down upon cuz it's the "sellout" song in the movie.
