I didn't even know Canada had a Thanksgiving, but I was more shocked she would give up her own and a bit concerned about her American crew that would have to give up theirs (though after that bonus, I'd give her the next 10 Thanksgivings). Either way I didn't see the 2024 so it won't even be on American Thanksgiving.

I haven’t seen full videos of the tour in hopes of me being able to see it live first. The shows just passed and it’s unlikely for me to get a good price for the LA shows. Even then I refuse to pay $1,000 to sit behind the stage. 
 

I will try and sign up correctly for this. I tried doing the presale for Blackpink but failed miserably. I would be willing to plan a trip around the concert and travel there. I’d rather pay face value for the tickets and spend the money that would have gone to the reseller on a trip to the city. Those New Orleans dates look enticing.

I called it! She wants to end with more North American dates to be a victory lap of sorts and that's when she'll finally include Canada. I knew there was no way she'd leave out one of her biggest markets. 146 dates is insane. This has to be the most dates for an all-stadium tour, most are lucky to get 100. As it stands, the only cities on the entire tour that don't have second dates announced are Madrid and Cardiff but they're still a long way away, so who knows? This tour will set records in more ways than one. It really is a cultural phenomenon. Regardless of what you think of her, you can only sit back and watch in awe at history in the making and know this is one of those moments that you'll tell the grandkids about, the same way our grandparents spoke about what it was like to be caught up in the crazy time of Elvis and The Beatles, the same way our parents talked about Madonna and MJ, the same way we remember Spice Girls and Britney in our youth.

That’s so true, nobody can deny the phenomenon she represents for this generation and I’m glad I went to one of the shows and being part of this to be honest. Not to mention the fact that the concert is really good, the whole package of a remarkable and iconic event forever in pop history.

I was talking to a guy who snuck in the same recorder I use, and unfortunately for him he had extremely expensive floor seats, and chose the Haim set to calibrate his recorder, before the sun set. Bad idea. Security caught him with a hand inside his jacket and escorted him off the floor to a back room. Apparently, Taylor has 2 security details, one that is inside each venue as the venue's security, and a plainclothes cadre of her own. Both factions interrogated the guy, and made him delete what little recording he had made so far (whomever played before Haim and a few of Haim's songs) and banned him from the building for the next 48 hours, essentially meaning he paid for Taylor but could no longer see her. He signed a paper stating he would not attempt to record at that location again.

God bless the man though, several weeks later he did see Taylor again at another show (he must have had $$) and was able to record at least one Eras in full. So bravo to him. We had a long convo discussing audio limiters in Audacity which could enable me to delete one of my personal HUGE pet peeves ---- screamer and screecher girls in concerts who screech over the artist talking. He used limiting tech in his recording of Eras from the floor the 2nd time to get rid of women around him who frankly were non stop shrieking over Taylor to the point where he had to tell them to shush but of course that does no good. It barely did good at my shows either, which is why I started carrying small bills to pay drunks to shut up and screechers to calm down when Gaga talks

Yikes!! Was he doing only audio, or also video (I imagine video). I know it's a risk that is taken so I don't wanna say it's completely unfair lol but certainly very bad luck. Especially losing the money on the ticket ugh.

Being able to delete the screeching is amazing. I know I could probably reduce it with noise reduction filters (I edit with an older version of Adobe Audition) but it wouldn't be perfect by any means.

He was using the same one I use, the Sony pcm-10 , audio only. It's a professional recorder that usually costs about $200/$250 used
