It also just simply doesn't make sense tbh. Do y'all even know how advanced the technology would have to be for aliens to cross light-years to come to Earth? Or to warp time and space? We're talking type 1, maybe even type 2 civilizations here who have the technological prowess to harvest planets and stars' energy.

Exactly this. Aliens held in captivity by humans? It's so ridiculously egotistical to believe that our species could detain a member of a species that has harnessed the powers of the universe itself and can manipulate space/time. I can't believe people take the alien discussion so seriously. Like really? They can warp time and space and travel near the speed of light  but we have some captured? That's like a slug truly believing that other slugs have trapped a human by placing a leaf on their foot

They literally could have taken a dead alien. They never said whether it was alive or not.

I believe there is other life out there somewhere but I don't really believe that anything significant will come of this news. Those biologics they've found are probably something like a speck of moss or an amoeba, or these 'non-human bodies' might just be an earthly animal. As other people have said, anything capable of travelling to our atmosphere will be highly sophisticated and have bigger fish to fry than us (I hope  )

I still think you're underestimating how advanced a civilisation would have to be to travel through space this way. It would be much easier to invent technology to cover up or retrieve a dead body than to invent technology for space travel. If they can literally control time and space and harness the power of suns.. you think they will just 'whoopsie one of our kind died on this planet, guess we can't retrieve them or cover it up'... Thousands of years before even inventing this kind of space travel they would have discovered ways to scramble and trace data e.g video footage. That's childs play compared to the rest. And also their level of intelligence would be thousands of times that of a human being by that point in their evolution.

To be honest, it's 1000X more likely to be secret tech that humans have actually invented, and accidentally been caught using, than it is to be an alien race

I know we all want our sci-fi dreams of aliens being found to come true.. How amazing that would be! But it just literally does not make sense. Sorry to be the realism-police
