Thank you to the BTS Army for keeping a race riot anthem from topping the charts.

Just A Holy Fool

The idea that Jason Aldean's call to arms for public lynchings is a top 10 hit in 2023, my god.

3 country songs in a row in the top 4.. I'm gagged. Joanne's impact took forever but here it is (and it's cursed)

Congrats to Kook and Latto

it's just absolutely insane to me that the same man that survived the deadliest shooting in American history (Las Vegas 2017) turned around and a few years later makes a song about public lynching

Are they spam playing these songs on country radio or something? Because even my friends who listen to country don’t understand this.

The Fame

It's really disgusting to me that the original version of Fast Car by the literal goddess herself Tracy Chapman didn't chart as high as this white man country singer version. Like, that song is not for you, dude.

I would normally agree, but in this case, he's profiting off it (unless he's declining all profits, in which case I stand corrected but I haven't heard that he is).

Chapman owns the writers’ and publisher’s share of the song so she get the bulk of royalties. additionally, the success of Combs’ version has boosted Chapman’s original.

“I’m happy for Luke and his success and grateful that new fans have found and embraced ‘Fast Car.’”
