Thoughts On Why Gaga Hasn't Tweeted About Tony?

I hope she's ok.

It's public knowledge, it's not like she'd be spilling private information that isn't know. Acknowledging famous ppl when they die publicly is also not generally seen as something disrespectful on the contrary it's usually seen as an acknowledgement that they mattered.

So I wonder why she's been lip sealed :ohno:

Losing Tony is like losing a family member for her, so she is most likely grieving him like she would any family member and needs time to process before making a post. I always think it's a little odd when people in my personal life make a social media post almost immediately after someone dies. It probably just isn't her priority and she wants to say or do something meaningful to honor him.

It's a very personal decision.

When my Dad died earlier this year I posted a brief photo on insta/fb, and also posted his obituary. That's it, I've not posted anything else about it. My sister posted for his birthday, father's day, other pics when she's thinking of him, etc. Both approaches are fine!

For me, it's just too painful and sharing my grief publicly does not help, it feels shtty. For my mom, sister, aunts/uncles/cousins that post, it's helps them and I'm glad. But my lack of posting has NOTHING to do with my relationship with my Dad or how I feel about his death... it's just what works for me.

Gaga has that same autonomy even if she's famous and Tony was famous

She will. Tony's death is a big loss for her, I didn't expect her to post yet. Not everyone feels like going on social media straight away after the death of a loved one.

because it's deeper than social media. I think she will in the future, but right now she's going through it. the priority is not to post on social media about it.

Because she doesn't owe any of you parasocial weirdos a public display of private emotions.

I don't think she is in the mood for that. I think she wants to spend some time alone.

I think it's obvious that she's in mourning, this was someone she actually knew and was close to, not another celebrity that meet him in passing or performed with him once and posted a photo of the two of themselves showing their respects. I have no doubt she will say something soon.

Because twitter right now is a mess in the hands of Musk and nobody decent really has interest in using it anymore

I mean when I lost my father, my first thoughts weren’t to post something online. In those times, you don’t think about that, let alone a celebrity like her.

Gaga rarely tweets about stuff right away, sometimes takes day and even weeks. We always have this conversation guys, lets give her some space.

(Not talking about Economy, just fans in general wondering when she’s going to tweet stuff)

Idk I guess maybe she's busy supporting his wife and family and she doesn't feel like being public

King of the Fall

If I had just lost a loved one, the last thing I would want to be doing is posting about it on social media right away.

Hey, I'm king of the world, you ought to hear my song, you come on measure me, I'm twenty inches long

There is no rule that you need to post on social media as soon as someone you know passes away. Let her grieve. She owes us nothing.
