That why this sounds....odd. I mean, it could be true, it could be a joke, or it could be true but he exaggerated how Gaga acted around the name. Then again, Ivy says she apparently went by Ally on ASIB. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to mute a lot of people on twitter again, too, lol. I get why some people find him annoying, but at worst he's mildly problematic. But film twitter goes after him on a personal-not just professional-level while basically sucking Coppola off (never mind Coppola is buddies with a convicted pedophile, and went around trying to get studios to work with him afterwards). And it's a bit funny, because they used to rave about him on a (professional) level too (I recall when film twitter loved Boy, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, etc.). It's not just Taika, either, but people like Lin-Manuel, Olivia Wilde, Rami Malek, etc. I don't think Rami should have won, either, over BCoop or Christian Bale. However, the vitriol towards Rami as an actor and person (not just for the win) is...weird....especially as it's been five years. Despite being progressive, film twitter tends to be esp. nasty to some people of color and/or women. Of course, they also have a a few yt men they hate.
