bowlsofbrett 401
I get that cell phones can be a pain in the ass, but maybe idk put a *no phones allowed* disclaimer on your concert tickets? Lol I probably would’ve invited the girls onstage and took a selfie with them

But these dawn f*cking phones in concerts are soooo annoying. People spend more time taking sh*tty pics and recording sh*tty videos to spread like a plague over internet than listening and enjoying the gig. As local entertainer, I can confirm that these cellphone people are an utter nuisance. I totally understand why some artist are just p*ssed off. Bob Dylan was in Montreux Festival recently. Phones were stricly banished. Drastic but efficient. I feel like it's okay to not like every song an artist has. I check my phone during songs that I'm not into, and I make sure it's not in anyone's way. I'm not into recording the entire show or even whole song, so it's not out the entire time. But I think it should be acceptable to not be 100% engaged 100% of the time.
ssslyboy 3,273
Artists have 3 options: allow fans to use phones and take as many selfies as they please, ask fans to put the phones in their pockets for certain "special" moments in the show where they would like the audience's undivided attention (ie. a really personal song, etc), or outright ban phones from the concert and require them to be placed in cases right off the bat (like Madame X did). Humiliating fans who haven't broken any rules and are just taking a photos to remember the concert they paid a hefty price for (and if they're close enough for Miranda to spot them taking a selfie, they must have paid top price for their tickets) is NOT an option! ALGAYDO 30,601
I get that it’d annoying seeing people on their phones while you’re performing, but like, girl, they paid money to be there, be thankful you still have enough of a following to be able to even book these gigs
