It is music that originated from queer communities which were shunned from the mainstream. They developed their own language, genre and even style of dancing. There's so much self-affirmation in the lyrics because it is music that came from the oppressed, created out of oppression. It's really not as vain as simply being cocky or 'unattainable', and I'm not even a Beyonce fan. The Carters's album Everything is Love is kinda cocky. I am no Bey stan so this is what I expected going to the Renaissance Tour but tbh ut was really the opposite of what you wrote. It felt intimate and she was really open with showing emotions and having a fun time. And yes, the production was on another level.
