Especially since that's all Renaissance is really about lyrically as well. I'm not even that big of a beyoncé fan but I feel compelled to argue with you guys who are trying to find any reason you can to blatantly, misguidedly complain about her. also it's really rich that you want to talk about how artists want to portray themselves on a site like this. I'm not a fan of Beyonce's music (bar the hits) so I didn't think the tour would be for me... but the spectacle alone would've made it a great experience. Oh well. A lot of ballroom culture is centered on showing off what you got (body/face categories, showing off your voguing skills, walking as a house with the mother of the house being treated as a goddess etc.) and that's pretty much what Renaissance and the tour are built on. Sure, Bey has played on that image a lot previously, but it's especially prominent here because of that. And imo she's earned this image.
