ARTPOP Anniversary Discussion [and Speculation] Thread

Good day fellow girls, gheys & theys. Today is the tenth anniversary of the official announcement of ARTPOP by our Lady, Gaga. I’m starting this thread to post other landmark events exactly 10 years after they’ve happened so keep tabs, I’ll be posting more tomorrow and on.
Also, let’s speculate of whatever we’ll be getting for the 10th anniversary. Are we gonna be clowns or are we gonna be reasonable? Clowning is more fun

Gaga, DJWS, Tara Savelo, Freddy Aspiras and others from The Haus attended I&V’s Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills, where ARTPOP was formally announced. 

 

The album was announced to be released on November 11, then untitled lead single + video on August 19, as well as preorders for the album + app on September 1. The “artRave” release party was also announced for November 10, 2013. 

“Built by TechHAUS, the technological branch of HAUS OF GAGA, the app itself is a musical and visual engineering system that combines music, art, fashion, and technology with a new interactive worldwide community -- "the auras". Altering the human experience with social media, we bring ARTculture into POP in a reverse Warholian expedition. 

Exploring Gaga's existence as a cultural interface, the user will share in the 'adrenaline of fame' as they build and share their own projects, chat with one another, and watch in real-time on a virtual globe as ARTPOP explodes onto the physical and virtual universe at once on November 11, our "BIG BANG!" On this day HAUS OF GAGA venges with forte to bring the music industry into a new age; an age where art drives pop, and the artist once again is in control of the 'icon.' 

In turn, the album ARTPOP musically mirrors Gaga's creative process as she passes through the mediums of each artist she collaborates with, scoring a blueprint of her journey. The result, a "rage" of electronic passion and fury, defining each artistic process from beginning to end, ARTPOP could mean anything. But for her, this is a celebration of obsession. And on November 10, she will host an evening of artRave exhibiting Haus of Gaga's projects as well as collaborations with 

Inez & Vinoodh, Robert Wilson, Marina Abramovic, Jeff Koons.”

I want her to release songs from ACT II as celebration for ARTPOP’s 10th birthday… but I know the most we will realistically get is a 10th anniversary edition without DWUW and some remixes/covers (a la BTW10) and maybe an ARTPOP eyeshadow pallet from Haus Labs

Look, I get why people are inherently a bit pessimistic about ACT II being released and all, and some people probably think that there won’t be anything. But I refuse to believe that entire April-June 2021 ARTPOP resurface (ARTPOP suddenly going #1 almost worldwide, the petitions, Gaga tweeting about it, DJWS revealing things about the album’s process and ACT II, interviews with DJWS and Tara) was all for nothing.

40 (40!!!!!!) finished or almost finished songs, according to DJWS? The constant teasing of TEA, Like DJWS playing the intro to it at Fenway Park during the Boston date of the JWT? The general anticipation of it by the fanbase that has been going on for almost a decade? ACT II has such potential and I believe it would truly be amazing.

Personally I would love to hear TEA, despite being unreleased that song is already so iconic. I’m also very curious about Onion Girl, In Like With You, Sire and Temple.

We can 100% confirm that she won't release any unreleased material from the sessions. She didn't do that for Born This Way, she won't do it for ARTPOP. Let's hope for a cute repackage release like BTW10, but nothing too big or anything.

she didn't do it for TF/M either, so I don't think she'd ever do it.

As much as I'd love to get some unreleased songs I just know that we're not gonna get any of them. Especially when we got none for the previous anniversaries.

The difference between TF/TFM/BTW anniversaries and ARTPOP’s is that 1) we know she already has ACTII done due to her interviews during 2013/14 where she said she had a whole part 2 album ready to go, and 2) she acknowledged the petition for ACT II last year!

I wish I had been a fan of Gaga during this rollout. I feel like this is one of the most memorable rollouts she's had, and the beginning of it was very hyped and fun. Personally, I hope she has a different and more positive feeling about ARTPOP than she did during the era, and that we'll get to see 2-3 new songs but I'm not holding my breath. It'll suck if she completely overlooks the anniversary because it'll set the mood for Joanne as well. Her view on Joanne is bitter as well and I'd hate to see her skip out on 1/3 of her entire discography.
