I don't think revisting and refining/reinventing music is a bad idea. We've seen how much Gaga rearranges her music when demos leak and they're very different. I would love to see how she sees these songs now and what she'd do differently. But I wouldn't want it to take the place of an original album unless it has substantial new material as well (6+ songs).

I think it would definitely be amazing to hear Gaga's voice now on The Fame but I don't think there would be any point, we can hear it when she performs at her shows like TCB

 

I think if anything, a re release of ARTPOP would be cool with a re production on how it should of sounded with ACT2, but then again i'm not too bothered about ARTPOP these days

My preference would be for Gaga to release a huge live box set. Tom Petty did one with 7 vinyls in it where he went through and picked his favorite live versions of so many songs. That way we get fresh vocals, the live arrangements, and something  new but nostalgic. I love what Taylor’s doing but also see the value in the original tracks that are imprinted on my brain staying as they are. I love a good live album!

It’s funny you create this topic. I’m most likely wrong about it, it was just a thought/ idea, but I was thinking maybe the “secret project” was a re-recording of The Fame or at least her hits. Unlikely, but it’s fun to think what if. I’d be here for it. I want new music, but as a long long time stan, it would be really cool to experience something like that from Gaga

Taylor makes more sense. half of them are in her teenage voice so it’s cool to see the songs evolve with a mature voice. and even with Reputation TV, it will be cool to release the album and recontextualize it since she’s not in media perception turmoil. it would be a celebration. None of Gaga’s albums need reconceptualizing and she probably thinks that’s insulting to her past work. I do support a piano/ jazz rendition album with Bad Romance and poker face etc

I did something similar with Bad Romance. I pasted acapella from Enigma concert into instrumental. Her voice sounds more powerful and mature than original.

I would only a new version of Paparazzi cause I hate the vocals on the album and think that all her live performances of it (even the ones from The Fame Ball days) are better than the studio version...

But I don't think it's worth for her to do this, Taylor is a special case cause she wants to own her masters and it's also a way to update everything, but with Gaga there's really no reason to do so... maybe if it was just a cute thing for some songs like Madonna did with The Immaculate Collection, but rerecording whole albums... not worth it

Personally I would rather prefer that she releases new materials (from her vault of songsss) that reflect her current state of mind than rerecording. 

On the note of rerecording, she can probably do a few and add them to her greatest hits album in the far future.

Would never happen. Having that man potentially earning more income from some of those songs and his credits is not something I could ever imagine her or anyone on her team being okay with. I know that it was said at one point there was some sort of exchange done for total rights to some songs, but idk if it applies to that handful on The Fame - or if it’s even true. But either way, just for that reason I don’t think it would happen.
