Please let's not be silly. No one is gonna risk having their face disfigured "for promo". These are legit incidents caused by stupid behavior that seeks social media viralness. Such incidents can even cause blindness if it hits the eye. I find it a bit insensitive to suggest that people would have it done to themselves intentionally for promo.

I believe the Bebe one as it was a phone, but the other ones like Ava's and this one don't seem that serious. Honestly with celebs you never know

Gagaism

Why most of humans being have to be so annoying, and so intrusive, and so shitty? Why people think they have the right to do stuff like that? why WHY?

It looks like a rubber band or hair tie. At this point all singers might as well perform behind an invisible glass.

Hopefully, there’s cameras to see how threw that to Kelsea Ballerini‘s face.

Sis it looks like a hard, rock-like object hit her. And Bebe with a fckn PHONE. Those aren't "gifts", it's people directly targeting them. :bear:

Im speaking in general about things being thrown on stage. Generally, they're trying to give the artist something. These cases are stupid and these people are obviously targeting them. Theres really not much you can do besides not allow anything in the venue at all. Maybe they should start pushing back pits to farther away from the stage.

STOP throwing things at artists on stage. It’s so narcissistic that people think their gift matters that much to at best disrupt or at worst injure the artist while they’re performing.

People have been throwing things on stage for decades. This is not a new or American construct. Is everyone here 12 years old or something? Like wtf.

I get that this is stupid and might ruin the experience for everyone in the future and people need to learn how to show respect to artists...

But I am also reminded of how at big festivals for decades crowds have throw items, water bottles, even water bottles full of piss at performers. It's like a well know and documented thing that it happens. I remember My Chemical Romance getting completely hammered with bottles at Download festival once (really ****ed up though)

Spoiler

I mean look at the history...

If anything it has gotten better over time

Makes you realise why Gaga became more focused on looking after herself at her shows. I remember at the born this way ball when people used to throw so many things at her when she sat down to talk. At the time it was so cute and I know it was just her fans throwing nice things but I think that changed for the best

I bet this was so scary at times :healedmyheart:

The time that comes to mind where I actually thought it was getting ridiculous is here...

I mean I don't see hard/metal objects here. I don't think those toys are capable of causing serious injury. But ideally people shouldn't be throwing anything, in case the performer trips over them.
