Yes why not 4 years lol. The ones in Brazil were threatening fans with beatings with bats and metal pipes and were saying they were gonna harm them constantly. It’s threatening and near assault

Stupid law if passed. If scalpers want to have at it then let them. The demand is clearly there. Let the free market reign :ohwell:

I’m under the impression that ticket scalping is buying the tickets at presale or initial sale (often using bots) and then selling them at a higher markup afterwards. What you described sounds like a completely different crime

It’s actually that on top of what you said. Brazil still sells tickets physically too so those things are actually happening with people waiting on the lines.

That is what it is, but the scalpers in Brazil we’re doing all that to fans trying to buy tickets at the box office.

Greedy d0uchebags trynna make extra money. They were being homophobic too when they saw guys in the queue as well and were saying I think “let’s go beat those quu3rs up” basically when trying to cut

Oh okay, I did not realize that physical ticket sales were the norm. Well then being stricter on scalpers there makes plenty sense, but I still think there should be a distinction between what I described and what you described in terms of justice (which there probably will be)

Scalping is actually a crime in most parts of the world, there are just not strict rules on how to punish it many places.

In the US, they used to easily be arrested and charged with fraud but in the age of digital ticket sales they can’t do that. Brazil still sells their tickets primarily in person, though, so that’s why they’re cracking down. Scalpers almost physically hurt people in Brazil who were trying to legally buy tickets.

Scalping isn’t a free market practice. It’s a crime.

If the scalpers in Brazil are actually threatening and hitting people buying tickets, then that is not okay. I literally never heard of this happening when it comes to scalping in my country...
