DC has just done a bad job with their movies the last couple years. They need to hire some of the marvel people to show them how to do it correctly.

Would it even matter anymore? They'd be a lot better off pushing stories outside of DC and coming back to it in 10-20 years. They've absolutely tanked the entire franchise in this run and it would take 2-3 small successes in order for them to redeem themselves with the GP. But we know that they won't put that kind of money/time into it. The Flash shouldn't have been released, they should have written it off, sh*t on Ezra Miller publicly, waited 2-3 years and tried again with the overhaul.

they already did. james gunn directed the guardians of the galaxy movies for marvel and now he's the story producer for the new dceu (basically their kevin feige). he also directed the recent suicide squad requel.

Why is everyone hating on THE FLASH? I feel im missing something because everyone is happy by this news?

It's mostly because of Ezra Miller. People (rightfully so, in my opinion) believe that they're getting off the hook for committing multiple crimes over the past couple of years, so they don't want to support the movie.

But there's also a lot of other reasons. For one, people are still miffed with DC. The DCEU's track record is not good, so a lot of people are over DCEU films. Also, even though this movie was made before James Gunn became the head of DC, some people decided to boycott the movie out of protest for Gunn and whatever he's going to do with DC (since there are still a lot of people who prefer Zack Snyder's version of the DCEU).

Finally, I think people just had their expectations too high, and were just disappointed when the movie didn't live up to them. Many celebrities and people at WB have touted this movie as one of the best comic book films of all time, so that (+ the return of Michael Keaton) sets a high bar for people.

Ok! This all makes sense now. Thank you!

Oh well, it's the closer to the old era anyway. It was a great superhero movie 🤷🏽‍♀️

This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.

The movie was okay. It had some great moments and made me wish for more Michael Keaton. The worst part was Ezra’s acting. Just awful. I’ve only watched a few minutes of the show, but this Barry was rather uncharismatic. I understand him being clumsy and ditzy, but it wasn’t charming. His laugh was obnoxious and him playing a 28 year old and 18 year old while looking 38 was distracting.

The CGI for the fight scene were awesome. The CGI for the time traveling scenes were ambitious but could have been less flashy(no pun intended) and simple. It was cool to see the other versions of certain characters but it seemed too too similar to Across The Spiderverse.

I still enjoyed it but I hate how they spend so much money on mediocre storytelling when fans could provided better ideas and scripts. Same goes for Shazam. The first Shazam was dope. The second one had something missing.

Obviously I'm biased :billie: but the move is genuinely great. It's unfortunately being affected by like 10 different horrible circumstances (the biggest one being Ezra's reputation). At the end of the day, I'm glad the movie exists and I can enjoy it forever! :legend:

Tbh I don’t think there’s a big appetite for big action movies atm. It seems to be waning a bit and superhero films especially

They just need to give up but hey Kraven trailer is coming this week, it might be another flop lol

Kraven is Marvel, not DC. And it’s from Sony though, so may stink in quality or tank

The movie was legit bad. I don't know why I had high expectations but I did, I fell asleep a couple of times throughout the movie. :messga:

not suprised

no one cares for superhero movies anymore except if it's for the major characters

these small characters don't need a movie. like wasn't flash a tv show it something.

i feel like the new blue beetle movie will also flop since no one even knows that character or care enough to watch
