There’s so many songs that she’s made that’s “Lady Gaga” but she also has songs that are 100% “Stefani Germanotta” I’d say her best as Gaga is Poker Face because the lyrics especially in the bridge are genius. The songwriting, production, vocals, and melody are just superb. My two runner ups: Born This Way (even with the Madonna-esque elements) and Marry the Night. Sure, Marry the Night's lyrics are a bit nonsensical in places...but they are evocative and draw the listener in. Songwriting: Joanne (particularly Diamond Heart, Sinner's Prayer, Million Reasons, and Just Another Day) has some of her strongest songwriting, as does ASIB and (this will probably be unpopular) Chromatica. Sine From Above kind of embodies Gaga imo....it is absurd and yet tells a great story... and catchy asf. Replay's lyrics are perfection. Production: Free Woman Remix, Government Hooker, Bloody Mary, Bad Romance, Alejandro, Heavy Metal Lover, Poker Face, The Edge of Glory, and Replay. Agree....Poker Face is great in that it's very unique (clever yet goofy lyrics and all). Don't get me wrong, I love BTW despite the Madonna-esque elements, but Poker Face sounds distinctive compared to most pop songs even if its commercial. But, Always Remember Us This Way truly resonated to a lot of people worldwide.. it featured not just her vocal, songwriting, melody, just right production ...but also her piano magic and rock star appeal, and raw emotional connection. Bad Romance is the Gaga song...but for me ARUTW is another classic song that truly defines both Lady and Gaga.
