Honestly I'm little conflicted with this whole Netflix situation between ATLA and one piece I'm really excited for the fans who were wishing for these worlds to expand and to see those arcs materialize to other mediums but I know that it's just a cash grab for Netflix and another ip for them to leach on.

They're both VERY commercial properties fingers crossed that they have fans wishes and standards for these shows in mind and not sacrifice that for mass appeal. I actually liked the OP teaser trailer but I see why fans are angry with it and I holding out my judgment on this until I see the characters intract as that was ultimately what made me fall in love with the original and it subsequent entries to the lore also queen toph has yet to make an entrance so let's see

I was super psyched for this first look but now I’m getting a little nervous with the costumes. Not bad but also something is just a tiny bit off. Still can’t wait to see some finals footage or a proper teaser with the actors and some visual effects.

The actors look fine to me. Maybe it's just the photos themselves, but the costumes look a too clean and pristine to me. They look too "costume-y", almost like cosplay. 

I'm still pretty apprehensive about this show though. Aside from the better costumes—cause even though I have some qualms with them, I believe they're better than the Shyamalan ones—this still looks/feels like the Shyamalan movie to me. They better get the story right and the VFX better be amazing because if not, this is just a waste of time, money, and resources. They're already making more animated ATLA content anyways, which I'm much more excited about.

the costume department is not giving, avatar the last airbender is one of my fav anime, and i wont put my hope high because of all the drama behind the scene

I'm actually happy with the casting. 

Curious about the CGI/effects, but honestly I can forgive mediocre visuals if the acting and show is good.

This is one of my favorite shows so I hope it's good.

Either way, it cannot be as bad as the live-action movie

Netflix is giving us live action One Piece and Avatar The Last Airbender...wow. I do hope for the very best for both!! Not putting my expectations high, but this is still really something to look forward to as a fan of both.
