In the US once you are indicted/charged you have the opportunity to go to trial where a jury will decide on each count you are being accused of. 

Both of his trials for his two indictments will be in 2024. 

If he is found guilty, then a sentence will be decided for whatever charge(s) it pertains to.

It depends on why a trial is postponed. But with a case like this I feel like it will not be postponed.
