I mean I certainly look forward to what she’ll do each pride month, but I don’t need for her to tweet to know that she’s one of our communities’ fiercest supporters 

I do think it’s uncanny though, I don’t think we’re out of touch for expecting her to make an appearance at a pride event or something every year

I guess I'm in the minority but, truthfully.... Yeah.

A big part of why I fell in love with Gaga in the first place was her activism and outspokenness. Obviously that has waned over the years, and I don't blame her for that.

But - when Roe fell, she didn't say anything for quite a while. Every woman I know was hurting so deeply that day and any word from someone like Gaga would have helped the absolute hopelessness we were feeling.

Now, with drag under attack, she hasn't said anything that I'm aware of - despite saying many times in the past that drag queens made her the artist that she is and she owes so much to them.

And same with attacks on queer people in general, as well as Pride.

I have no doubt she is contributing financially to these causes and I know the BTW Foundation does work too. But given her massive platform, I have been disappointed in the lack of any widespread message of support for any of these issues. I don't think she owes it to us, but it certainly would be great to hear in these times that feel so dark.

Idgaf. I expect nothing from Gaga anymore. Anything she does is a nice surprise at this point 

 

i do think it’s sad she dropped her willingness to be as controversial as she once was though. I feel like there came a point where she started wanting to be universally beloved by all.

What's going on ? Lol I had no idea people were saying these things but then again if it's Twitter I'm not surprised. People put way too much attention on social media I guarantee Gaga is just enjoying life right now and doesn't realize the mess that people are doing. She's always been vocal about the things she believes in and she still went out and celebrated Born This Way 10th anniversary during a pandemic. I'm sure she's going to say something at SOME point but she doesn't have to post every day about this.

Nope. She’s proven her devotion and adoration for our community since she was a literal child becoming a megastar, and at a time when she had everything to lose. There’s never a doubt in my mind where she stands and I don’t need a social media post from her every year to know that.

I personally don’t care if she says something not not, because she’s been a fierce ally to this community for over a decade, and we all know exactly where she stands. Plus, the work that TBTWF has been doing- yet nobody here seems to really care about it at all even tho their work does more good for us than Gaga just tweeting “yay pride!” or whatnot. I feel like some (not all) of those who are saying they’re disappointed aren’t actually disappointed, and just want to complain about something. Because if they did care, they’d acknowledge that the work she’s been doing behind the scenes with her foundation is greater than any social media post.

I think it would be great if she put some links to the posts of BTW foundation!

I know she doesn't really post in twitter anymore since el*n, and rarely on instagram, but this only comes once in a year and it's important, so I think it will be great if she shows off her celebration and dedication at some time this month
